Connecting your real inbox (Gmail/Outlook)

Two-way sync so replies land in your real inbox.

3 min read · Updated Jul 4, 2026

Tormano can sync with your inbox so emails sent from the CRM go through your real account, and replies come back automatically.

Why connect

  • Replies land in your real inbox where you'll see them.
  • Outbound CRM emails come from your real address, not a no-reply.
  • The recipient can reply, forward, archive normally.
  • Recent emails between you and a contact show on the contact's timeline automatically.

Supported providers

The Accounts & Sync screen connects two providers, both through secure OAuth (you never enter your mail password into Tormano):

  • Gmail / Google Workspace — connect with Google via OAuth2.
  • Microsoft 365 / Outlook — connect with Microsoft via OAuth2.

Generic IMAP/SMTP accounts are not self-serve in this screen today; if you need a non-Google, non-Microsoft mailbox connected, contact support.

Where to connect

Open Email > Accounts & Sync (/email-sync). Click Connect, sign in with Google or Microsoft, and approve access. The OAuth grant covers reading and sending on your behalf.

What syncs

  • Inbound and outbound messages between your address and any CRM contact.
  • Auto-link to contact records by email address (including CC/BCC matches).

Privacy and isolation

Synced emails are visible only to you (or to your team if you mark them shared). Per-org isolation is strict — your emails don't leak to other Tormano orgs.
