Templates are reusable email layouts you can drop into campaigns, sequences, or one-offs.

Where to manage

/marketing > Templates tab (B2B) or /marketing > Templates (NP). Create, edit, duplicate, archive, or version templates.

Building a template

Pick a starting point: blank, plain text, or one of the 8 pre-built nonprofit templates (Donation Thank You, Annual Appeal, Pledge Reminder, Event Invitation, Volunteer Appreciation, Grant Report Summary, Year-End Tax Receipt, Lapsed Donor Re-engagement).

The editor is a rich-text editor with HTML mode for advanced users. Drag images, format with bold/italic/headings, add bulletted lists, insert merge fields from the variable picker.

Versioning

Every save creates a new version. The version history is visible on the template detail page; click any prior version to preview or restore. Useful when you want to A/B test or roll back a botched edit.

Preview

Hit Preview to see the rendered template with your test contact's data merged in. Switch the test contact to spot-check different segments (donor vs prospect, individual vs household).

Categories

Tag templates by category (donor stewardship, fundraising, events, volunteer, grants) so the team can find them faster as the library grows.
