A campaign is a single email blast to a defined audience.

Workflow

  1. Marketing > Campaigns > + New Campaign.
  2. Pick a template or start blank.
  3. Choose your audience — a saved view, a tag, or a manual contact list.
  4. Set subject line and from name/email.
  5. Pick send time — now, scheduled for later, or "best time per recipient" (Tormano predicts each recipient's most-likely-to-open hour).
  6. Hit Review and send. Tormano shows the recipient count, estimated send duration, and any merge field warnings.
  7. Send.

Send mechanics

Campaigns batch through SendGrid. Tormano throttles to your sending domain's reputation tier (typically 10/sec for new domains, ramping up). For a 5,000-contact campaign, expect ~10 minutes of sending.

Real-time tracking

The campaign detail page updates as sends complete: delivered count, opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes. Most data lands within the first hour.

Stop a campaign

If you spotted a typo mid-send, use Stop Campaign on the detail page. Already-sent messages can't be recalled, but no new sends will go out. Affected recipients are tagged so you can follow up with a correction.

Unsubscribe handling

Every campaign email auto-includes an unsubscribe link as required by CAN-SPAM. Unsubscribes are honored across the org — once a contact opts out, no campaigns reach them again. Manage at Settings > Communications > Suppression List.
