Sending an email campaign

Pick audience, schedule, send, watch results.

A campaign is a single email blast to a defined audience.

Workflow

  1. Marketing > Campaigns > + New Campaign.
  2. Pick a template or start blank.
  3. Choose your audience — a saved view, a tag, or a manual contact list.
  4. Set subject line and from name/email.
  5. Pick send time — send now, or schedule it for a specific date and time.
  6. Review the recipient count and any merge-field warnings.
  7. Send.

Send mechanics

Campaigns batch through SendGrid. Tormano throttles to your sending domain's reputation tier, so a large campaign sends over several minutes rather than all at once.

Real-time tracking

The campaign detail page updates as sends complete: delivered count, opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes. Most data lands within the first hour.

Pause and resume a campaign

If you spotted a typo mid-send, use Pause on the campaign detail page — already-sent messages can't be recalled, but no new sends go out. Fix what you need to and use Resume to continue the remaining sends.

Unsubscribe handling

Every campaign email includes an unsubscribe link as required by CAN-SPAM. Unsubscribes are honored across the org automatically — once a contact opts out, no campaigns reach them again.
