TormanoSync your CRM contacts into a Mailchimp audience and keep opt-outs in sync both ways. Works on any Mailchimp plan, including the free tier.
Connecting (one click)
Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp > Connect with Mailchimp. You will be sent to Mailchimp to log in and approve access, then dropped back in Tormano, connected. Nothing to copy or paste. Each user connects their own Mailchimp account, and Tormano never sees your Mailchimp password.
If you would rather not use the one-click flow, choose Advanced: connect with an API key and paste a Mailchimp API key (Mailchimp > Account & billing > Extras > API keys > Create A Key). The key is stored encrypted.
Pick an audience
After connecting, choose which Mailchimp audience (list) your contacts sync into. Selecting an audience also provisions First Name, Last Name, and Phone merge fields and subscribes the two-way unsubscribe webhook automatically.
Syncing contacts
- Sync all contacts now pushes your opted-in contacts into the audience with their name and phone, tagged "Tormano CRM".
- Turn on Automatically add new & updated contacts to keep the audience current as you work, with no manual sync needed.
- Contacts that Mailchimp rejects (invalid or undeliverable email addresses) are reported as "skipped (invalid email address)" so you know exactly what happened. Existing unsubscribes are never overwritten.
Two-way unsubscribes
When someone unsubscribes, is cleaned, or updates their email in Mailchimp, Tormano hears about it through a webhook and updates that contact's email opt-in (or email address) so your CRM always respects the latest opt-out. Double opt-in audiences are honored, so new contacts receive Mailchimp's confirmation email before they are subscribed.
Disconnecting
Settings > Integrations > Mailchimp > Disconnect stops all syncing and removes the webhook. You can reconnect anytime.
