Grant reporting and renewal tracking

Track interim and final reports, then loop into the next cycle.

Once a grant is awarded, the work is just starting. Tormano tracks the reporting cycle and makes it easy to spin up the next cycle.

Reporting cycle

On the grant detail page, the Reports tab lists each required report with its type, due date, status, and submitted date. Add reports as the funder's schedule requires. Each report supports:

  • Report type — Interim, Annual, Final, Financial, Narrative, or Custom.
  • Status — Draft, In Progress, Submitted, Accepted, or Revision Needed.
  • Due date and submitted date.
  • A program outcomes field where you record the outcome data the funder wants to see.

Milestones

The Milestones tab tracks the sub-deadlines within a grant (e.g. "Submit Q2 interim report"), each with a due date and status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed, Overdue, Cancelled). These feed the milestone deadline notifications.

Renewing a grant

To pursue the next cycle with the same funder, open the grant and click Duplicate. Tormano clones the grant (and its milestones and checklist, with progress reset) so you can update the amounts and dates for the new cycle instead of starting from scratch. The grant record also has renewal date and auto-renew fields you can set for your own tracking.
