Once you've drafted your narrative on the grant detail page, export to the format the funder requires.
Available formats
- PDF — the most common. Tormano renders with your org logo, headers, page numbers, footer with submission date.
- HTML — for web-based submission portals that accept rich content.
- Markdown — for plain-text portals or when you want to paste into another tool with formatting.
- Plain text — for ASCII-only systems.
Where to export
Open the grant > Narrative tab > Export dropdown. Pick the format. The file downloads to your device.
Customizing the PDF template
Settings > Document Templates > Grant Proposal. Adjust the cover page layout, margins, font, and footer. Different templates can be assigned to different funder types (foundation vs government).
Attachments
If the funder requires supporting documents (financials, board roster, IRS letter), attach them on the grant detail page > Files tab. They're not auto-bundled into the PDF, but having them in one place avoids the cross-folder hunt at submission time.
