Track a grant from prospect to award

Grants in Tormano track foundation and government funding through their whole lifecycle, from prospecting to reporting.

Grant statuses

Grants move through these statuses in order:

Prospect, Researching, Application In Progress, Submitted, Under Review, Approved, Awarded, Active, Reporting, Closed.

Declined covers the ones that don’t come through.

Required fields

• Grant Name, such as Community Health Initiative.
• Grantor Name, the funder, such as Riverbend Community Foundation. You can link a grantor contact as well.
• Grant Type: Foundation, Government (federal, state, or local), Corporate, Individual, or Community.
• Amount Requested, what you are asking for.

Optional fields

Amount awarded, filled in once you hear back; the application deadline; start and end dates; a description; attached files; and any custom fields.

Status visibility

The Grants dashboard shows totals for grants, amount requested, and amount awarded, plus your win rate (awarded as a share of the grants that have been decided), upcoming deadlines, and active grants. Below them, each grant shows its status, awarded amount, deadline, and a badge saying whether that deadline is overdue, upcoming, or still some days away.
