TormanoThese records are called Companies on the Business edition and Organizations on the Nonprofit edition, where they cover schools, foundations, partner agencies, and corporate sponsors.
Create a record
Click + New Company (or + New Organization in the Nonprofit edition) on the list page, or use the + Quick Create dropdown. Only one field is required: Name.
Optional fields
Three are worth filling in straight away:
- Domain, such as acme.com, so auto-enrichment can fill in the rest.
- Parent company, so reports can roll up to the group.
- Owner, so the record has someone responsible for it.
The form also holds industry, employee count, annual revenue, a full address, notes, and any custom fields you have set up.
What happens on save
- The record is created with you as its owner, unless you assign someone else.
- If auto-enrichment is on and you entered a domain, Tormano fills in missing details from the company’s own website a few seconds later.
- The change is recorded in the audit trail.

On the Contacts tab, click + Add Contact to add a new person or to search for an existing one. See Link contacts to a company.
