Settings > Organization is your org's master profile. It populates email signatures, tax receipts, invoices, and the donor portal.
Fields
- Legal name — exactly as it appears on tax documents (501(c)(3) certification, business license).
- Display name — what donors and customers see (often shorter, more friendly).
- Mission statement — used in tax receipts and grant proposals.
- EIN (US) or equivalent — required for IRS-compliant tax receipts.
- Address — physical street address, used on tax receipts.
- Phone, email, website.
- Time zone — drives default scheduling, recurring donations, automations.
- Default currency — USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, more.
- Fiscal year start — for nonprofits not on calendar year.
- Industry / Cause area.
Brand assets
- Logo — appears on emails, tax receipts, donor portal, invoices. PNG or SVG, transparent background recommended.
- Favicon — for the donor portal.
- Brand colors — primary and accent. Used on the donor portal and email templates.
Why every field matters
- EIN missing → tax receipts won't be IRS-compliant.
- Address missing → CAN-SPAM violation on email blasts.
- Time zone wrong → automations fire at unexpected times.
- Logo missing → emails look unbranded and may go to spam.
