Pre-built reports vs custom reports vs dashboards.

The Reports area has tabs for different needs: Saved Reports, Inline Dashboards, Standard Reports, and Delivery Schedule. Dashboards also have their own top-level page.

Standard Reports — pre-built

Curated reports for the most common questions: contact growth, deal pipeline value, win/loss analysis, donation trends, donor retention, top donors, lapsed donors, grant pipeline. Click a report to run it; tweak filters; export.

Dashboards — customizable widget dashboards

Tab-based dashboards with KPI cards, charts, pipeline funnels, recent-activity feeds, data tables, goal trackers, task lists. Drag widgets, resize, save multiple named dashboards. Pre-built templates: Sales Overview (B2B) and Fundraising Overview (NP).

Custom reports (Report Studio)

For questions the pre-built reports don't answer, build your own in the Report Studio (a full-page builder). Pick the entity (contacts, deals, donations, activities, etc.), apply filters, group, aggregate, and save the report definition for reuse — it then lives on the Saved Reports tab.

Where to start

If you're new, start with a dashboard template. Once you find a question the dashboards don't answer, build a custom report in the Studio.
