Settings > Pipelines lets you create and configure pipelines and their stages.
Multiple pipelines
You can run more than one pipeline if your sales motions differ — e.g. a New Business pipeline and a Renewal pipeline with different stages and probabilities. Each deal lives in exactly one pipeline at a time.
Stage attributes
Each stage has:
- Name — what your team calls it (e.g. "Discovery", "Demo Booked", "Proposal Sent", "Negotiation", "Closed Won").
- Probability — the default probability percentage for deals in this stage. Used by the weighted forecast.
- Sort order — how stages appear on the kanban (drag to reorder).
- Stage type — mark a stage as Won or Lost (a stage that is neither is a normal open/active stage). Marking a stage Won or Lost is what lets forecasting and win/loss reporting count deals as closed.
Default pipeline
The default pipeline applies to new deals created via Quick Create or from a contact/company page. Set it via the star icon next to the pipeline name.
Changing stages on existing deals
Drag deals between columns on the kanban, or change the stage in the deal detail panel. Workflows can fire on stage change (e.g. "When deal moves to Proposal Sent, create a follow-up task in 3 days").
Reorganizing pipelines
You can rename, reorder, and add stages at any time. Deleting a stage is blocked while any active deals are still in it — Tormano tells you how many and asks you to move those deals to another stage first. You also can't delete a pipeline's last remaining stage.
