Twilio powers SMS campaigns, transactional SMS, and click-to-call.
Setup
Settings > Integrations > Twilio > Connect. Sign up for Twilio or paste in an existing Account SID and Auth Token. Tormano stores credentials encrypted.
US A2P 10DLC registration
For SMS sending to US recipients, you must register an A2P 10DLC campaign with The Campaign Registry. Tormano walks you through it:
- Brand registration (your nonprofit's legal entity).
- Campaign registration (use case: nonprofit fundraising / customer notifications / verification codes).
- Phone number assignment.
Most orgs are approved within 1-2 business days. Throughput once approved depends on your trust score (10-180 messages per second).
Sending
SMS campaigns at /sms-campaigns. Transactional SMS via automation actions or the API. Every message includes "Reply STOP to opt out" — Twilio enforces TCPA opt-outs across all your numbers.
Click-to-call
On any contact detail page, click the phone number to start a call. Twilio dials your phone first, then connects to the contact. Call is logged with duration and (optionally) recording link.
Cost
Twilio charges per message segment (~$0.0079 in US). Tormano pre-computes estimated cost before sending campaigns. Top up your Twilio balance from the Twilio dashboard.
